Project closes with event in Erfurt and Gotha

The final event of the Rail4Regions project took place last week. On Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, the results of the project were presented and discussed during a conference hosted by the University of Applied Sciences in Erfurt. The event attracted a high number of stakeholders from Thuringia and beyond. On the following day, the project partners took part in a field trip to Gotha and its surroundings to learn about the Ohra valley rail line that was recently reopened for freight transport. The project partners furthermore discussed the last tasks ahead of the project’s closure.
