Final joint conference, but this is not the end

On December 9th, the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec will host the final conference of the German-Polish project 1000 Years of Upper Lusatia. Although there will still be two exhibitions – in Bolesławiec and in the Museum Bautzen – and accompanying publications, but the scientific results of our project can already be summarized and presented. For this purpose, this online conference will be held. Like our other activities, it will be divided into three thematic lecture blocks: early medieval Slavic settlement in Upper Lusatia (from archaeological, anthropological and linguistic perspectives), the history of the Six Towns Union, and the Napoleonic era in the Lusatian-Silesian border region. All lectures will be simultaneously translated into Polish and German.
