Exhibition inauguration in Freiberg attended by more than 100 guests

The last presentation of the travelling exhibition “Silver Rush and Berggeschrey” has been opened on 23 March 2018 in Freiberg. The exhibition resulted from the project ArchaeoMontan in 2014 and has already been presented in Jáchymov (CZ), Dippoldiswalde, Raddusch und Altzella, receiving more than 60,000 visitors. Freiberg presents the exhibition as part of the festivities to commemorate the 850th anniversary of the silver rush of 1168. Many shown exhibits will soon be displayed in a permanent exhibition about medieval mining in Dippoldiswalde which is currently produced within the project “ArchaeoMontan 2018”. More than 100 guests attended the festive opening, including the Lord Mayors of Dippoldiswalde and Freiberg.
