MonuVirt: Virtual Past

The Saxon State Heritage Office asked core-consult to elaborate a transnational project aiming at the strategic exploitation of approaches based on virtual and augmented reality for heritage management plans for a former POW camp and World Heritage sites in Saxony. The project furthermore promotes the communication of cultural heritage and the protection of archeological sites while at the same time advancing regional identities and remembrance culture in rural areas of Eastern Germany. The project was submitted under the 4th call of the Interreg Central Europe programme and found eligible for funding. Due to the programmes’ limited financial resources a grant was however not awarded.
