SubNodes: Connecting the hinterland to major transport nodes

The project plans to better connect the hinterland to primary TEN-T railway hubs via secondary transport hubs, so called sub-nodes. While the upgrade of the TEN-T infrastructure brought significant accessibility gains for the primary nodes there is still the need to further develop the secondary commuter network and better connect it with the transnational railway network. This will allow exploiting a higher share of modal split for the regional public passenger transport system.

The project was submitted under the 2nd call of the Interreg Central Europe programme and has been selected for funding.
